OPOTEK, Inc. has developed compact and affordable tunable laser systems specifically for mass pectrometry applications. These systems provide sufficient power across the UV, VIS, NIR and MIR tuning range, which is suitable for a broad range of mass spectrometry techniques such as AP MALDI, IR DART, ELDI, IRPD, UVPD, REMPI and LA-ICP.
Browse the Application Notes and Conference Posters/Talks for data obtained by OPOTEK’s in-house mass spectrometry R&D funded by various government grants. See the Recommended Laser Systems section for help choosing the right tunable laser system for your application.
Our featured product is our IR Opolette + UV laser system which can generate both mid-IR light as well as UV light from the same laser cavity. This system provides rapid switching between IR- and UV-MALDI experiments making the system an ideal retrofit for an existing nitrogen laser. An optional IR and UV fiber is available as well for coupling the laser system to commercial mass spectrometers.
