The MagicPRISM™ is a compact and easy-to-operate OPO with an optical efficiency as high as 40 percent. The MagicPRISM™, is a ring oscillator in which the pump and the parametric beams travel in the same direction. Two nonlinear crystals are positioned on a single rotation stage and rotate together to achieve tuning. This configuration results in walk-off canceling in each path, and eliminates beam steering during tuning.

The pump beam is coupled into the ring cavity, and the signal and idler beams are coupled out of the ring cavity by a specially coated beam splitter. These design attributes produce a highly stable and efficient output.
