RADIANT 2731/3034

The RADIANT tunable laser series utilizes optical parametric oscillator technology to generate wavelengths over a broad range in the MIR. Integration of system components into one compact unit increases ruggedness, minimizes misalignment and allows the user to reposition the system. Included verification hardware enables the user to confirm that beam paths are preserved after shipment or relocation. Hermetically sealed modules protect sensitive optical materials from the environment. A built-in red laser diode is aligned to overlap with the mid-IR output for beam guidance. Wavelength tuning is motorized and computer controlled.

Option 1 Group

Wavelength Range

Choose between two wavelength ranges based on the OPO crystal material or select the entire wavelength range which includes both OPO modules. Each OPO module is swappable by the end-user without the need for realignment.

Option 2 Group

Repetition Rate

Choose between 10 and 20 Hz pulse repetition rates.

Option 3 Group

Motorized Variable Attenuator

Vary the OPO pulse energy by choosing the Motorized Variable Attenuator (MVA) option. By default the end-user changes the OPO pulse energy by changing the pump laser pulse energy through software command. However, OPO pulse-pulse energy instability increases at lower pump laser energy levels. The MVA option involves maintaining the pump laser pulse energy at maximum and using optical attenuation to change the OPO pulse energy without compromising pulse energy stability. The MVA option connects through the electronics unit for computer control. The MVA option can also be removed for full OPO pulse energy access and reinstalled without need for alignment.
