Based on ‘ring-cavity’ optical parametric oscillator (OPO) technology, the Phocus Inline is a cost effective laser source for photoacoustic imaging applications that require high pulse energies and NIR wavelengths for deep penetration of biological tissue. High damage thresholds combined with minimal maintenance and turn-key operation reduce system down-time and allow ease of operation. Requiring less footprint area on any laser table, the modular design allows fast turnaround for service and upgrades. Motorized tuning and harmonics provide a completely, hands-free tunable laser system.

Option 1 Group

Repetition Rate

Choose between 10, 20 and 30 Hz pulse repetition rates. Expect an approximate 30% energy reduction over the tunable range for the 30 Hz repetition rate option.

Option 3 Group

Fast Tuning

This option (patent pending) enables fast switching of the output wavelength such that each consecutive pulse can be set to any wavelength within the wavelength range of the system. The user can enter a sequence of wavelengths into the control software, with any step size (zero to full range) in any order, and the system will generate these wavelengths pulse after pulse. It can be set to stop after a single sequence or to repeat the sequence as defined by the end-user.

Option 4 Group

Wavemeter for realtime wavelength monitoring

The Wavemeter option offers real time measurement and display of the OPO wavelength in the control software. The option allows Closed-loop Tuning which provides a high accuracy tuning method with better than 1 nm resolution in the Signal. The Wavemeter enables feedback control for the Harmonics Auto-Optimization option when combined with Motorized Harmonics.

Option 5 Group

Software Development Kit

Downloading the free Software Development Kit (SDK) allows end-users to integrate system control functions into third-party software. Standalone control software comes with all systems but a central application for controlling all instrumentation enhances the experience of the end-user's application. The SDK works under any Windows-based programming environment and provided with limited technical support.
